This Privacy Policy was drafted on November 27, 2020.

Multiversity of Success thanks all users for trusting this platform and joining this online success learning and success achieving platform. The Multiversity of Success (referred to further as; “Multiversity of Success” or “MS”) respects the privacy of every user and wants every user to understand how MS collects, uses, and shares data about any user. This Privacy Policy covers the data collection practices used by Multiversity of Success and describes its rights to access, correct, or restrict the use of users’ personal data. Unless MS links to different privacy policy in any part of the site, this Privacy Policy applies when anyone visits or uses the Multiversity of Success website, mobile applications, APIs or related services (referred to as the “MS services”). By using the MS services, a user is deemed to have agreed to the terms of this Privacy Policy. No user is expected to use the MS services if the user does not agree with this Privacy Policy or any other agreement that governs and controls any one’s use of the MS services.

Detailed Policy:

  1. Data collected by MS

MS collects certain data, like information a user enters while registering or while posting anything anywhere on this platform, from the users directly, data about the participation of any user in courses, and data from third-party platforms a user connects with Multiversity of Success.

MS also collects some data automatically, like information about the device of the user and the parts of MS services the user interacts with or spends time using.

1.1.   Data that the users provide to MS:

MS collects different data from or about a user depending on how one uses the MS services like, the data given when a user creates an account or when he uses the MS services, including through a third-party platform, MS collects any data the user provides directly, including the following:

  • Account Data

In order to use certain features like enrolling in a course, a user has to create a user account. When a user creates or updates the account, MS collects and stores the data, like your email address, password, phone number, occupation, skill interests, gender, race, ethnicity, government ID information, verification photo, age, and date of birth, provided by the user and assigns a unique ID to such a user.

1.1.    b.       Profile Data

 

A user has a choice to choose to provide profile information like a photo, headline, biography, language, website link, social media profiles, country, or other data mentioned as optional. The Profile Data of user; entered by the user himself or herself may be publicly viewable by others.

  • Shared Content

Some of the MS services let a user interact with other users or share content publicly, including by posting reviews on a course page, asking or answering questions, sending messages to students or instructors, writing in blogs or commenting on blog posts or posting photos or other work the users upload. Such shared content may be publicly viewable by others depending on where it is posted.

  • Course Data

When a user enrolls in MS and takes up any course, MS collects certain data including the courses, assignments and quizzes a user has started and completed; the exchanges with trainer, other assistants, and other students; answers to questions, queeze, exams, & other items submitted to satisfy course requirements.

  • Student Payment Data

If a student enrolls for any course, MS collects certain data about such registration such as student’s name location, mail id, phone number and other details necessary to process the registration. A student is expected to provide the necessary payment and billing data directly to the payment processing partners of MS, including the name, credit card information, billing address, and pin/zip code. For security, Multiversity of Success does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card numbers or card authentication data.

1.1.    f.        Trainer Payment Data

If the user is an instructor, he/she can link his/her PayPal, Google Pay, PayTm or other payment account to the Services to receive payments. When a trainer links a payment account, MS collects and uses certain information, including the payment account email address, account ID, physical address, or other data of the trainer that is necessary for MS to send payments to trainer’s account. In order to comply with applicable laws, MS may also work with trusted third parties who collect legally required tax information. This tax information may include residency information, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other personal information necessary for taxation purposes. For security purpose, Multiversity of Success does not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The collection, use, and disclosure of payment, billing, and taxation data of trainers is subject to privacy policy and other terms of trainer’s payment account provider.

1.1.    g.       Data about User Accounts on Other Services

MS may obtain certain information through the social media or other online accounts of the user if they are connected to user’s Multiversity of Success account.

If users login to Multiversity of Success via Face book or another third-party platform or service, MS may ask for permission to access certain information about that other account like the user’s name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address location, physical location of user access devices, gender, birthday & list of friends or contacts etc.

Those platforms and services make information available to MS through their APIs. The information MS receives depends on what information users (via their privacy settings) or the platforms or services decide to give to MS.

If users access or use MS Services through a third-party platform or service, or click on any third-party links, the collection, use, and sharing of ussr data will also be subject to the privacy policies and other agreements of that third party.

1.1.    h.       Sweepstakes, Promotions, and Surveys

MS may invite users to complete a survey or participate in a promotion (like a contest, sweepstakes, or challenge), either through the Services or a third-party platform. If users participate, MS will collect and store the data users provide as part of participating, such as user name, email address, date of birth, or phone number. That data is subject to this Privacy Policy unless otherwise stated in the official rules of the promotion or in another privacy policy. Such data collected will be used to administer the promotion or survey, including for notifying winners and distributing rewards. To receive a reward, user may be required to allow MS to post some of the user information publicly (like on a winner’s page). Where ever MS may use a third-party platform to administer a survey or promotion; the third party’s privacy policy will apply to any such activity.

  • Communications and Support

If user contacts MS for support or to report a problem or concern (regardless of whether users have created an account), MS collects and stores user contact information, messages, and other data about user like user name, email address, location, operating system, IP address, and any other data user provides or that MS collect through automated means (which MS covers below). MS will use this data in order to respond to the user and research user question or concern, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The data listed above is stored by MS and associated with the user account.

1.2. Data MS Collects through Automated Means

When users access the Services (including browsing through courses or blogs etc.), MS collects certain data by automated means, including:

  • System Data

the system data that MS collects, contains, the technical data about user’s computer or device, like the IP address, device type, operating system type and version, unique device identifiers, browser, browser language, domain and other systems data, and platform types (“System Data”).

1.2.    b.       Usage Data

Usage statistics about the user’s interactions with various Services and service providers, including blogs, products and courses accessed, time spent on pages or on any service, pages visited, features used, the search queries raised by the user, click data, date and time, and other data regarding the use of the user of any services, courses, products, etc. is called as the “Usage Data” of that user.

1.2.    c.       Approximate Geographic Data

An approximate geographic location, including information like country, city, and geographic coordinates, calculated based on the IP address of the user.

The data listed above is collected through the use of server log files and tracking technologies, as detailed in the “Cookies and Data Collection Tools” section below. It is stored by MS and associated with the user account.

  1. How does MS Get Data about a User

MS uses tools like cookies, web beacons, analytics services, and advertising providers to gather the data listed above. Some of these tools offer the user an ability to opt out of data collection.

2.1 Cookies and Data Collection Tools

As detailed in the Cookie Policy, Multiversity of Success and service providers acting on behalf of MS; including Google Analytics and third party advertisers; use server log files and automated data collection tools like cookies, tags, scripts, customized links, device or browser fingerprints, and web beacons that are together called as, “Data Collection Tools”; when any user accesses and uses the Services. These Data Collection Tools automatically track and collect certain System Data and Usage Data; as detailed in Section 1; when the users use the Services. In some cases, MS systems tie data gathered through those Data Collection Tools to other data that MS systems collect as described in this Privacy Policy.

MS uses cookies; i.e. small files that websites send to the user device to uniquely identify the user browser or device or to store data in the user browser; for things like analyzing the use of the Services by the user, personalizing user experience, making it easier to log into the Services, and recognizing the user when the user returns. MS uses web beacons; i.e., the small objects that allow MS to measure the actions of visitors and users using the MS web Services; for things like identifying whether a page was visited, identifying whether an email was opened, and advertising more efficiently by excluding current users from certain promotional messages or identifying the source of a new mobile app download.

Multiversity of Success uses the following types of cookies:

2.1     a.       Preferences: 

Preferences are the cookies that remember data about the user browser and preferred settings that affect the appearance and behavior of the Services including things like the preferred language of the user, especially when user is accessing courses, blogs or pages where the data is in many languages.

2.1     b.       Security: 

Security represents the cookies used to enable a user to log in and access the Services; protect against fraudulent logins; and help detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized use of the user account.

2.1     c.       Functional: 

Functional cookies are the cookies that store functional settings (like the volume level you set for video playback).

2.1     d.       Session State: 

Session state indicating cookies that track the user interactions with the Services to help the MS site administrators and developers to improve the Services and the browsing experience that the user has, remember the login details of the user, and enable effective and user-friendly processing of the course, goods or service purchases by the user. These are strictly necessary for the MS services to work properly, so if the user disables them, certain functionalities the user gets will run improperly or are going to be unavailable.

User can set the web browser to alert the user about attempts to place cookies on the user computer, limit the types of cookies to allow, or refuse cookies altogether. If the users limit or prevent the use of cookies, such a user may not be able to use some or all features of the MS services, and the user experience may be different or less functional.

Some of the third-party partners who provide certain features on the MS site may also use Local Storage Objects; that is also known as flash cookies or LSOs; to collect and store data.

2.2 Analytics

MS uses the third-party browser and mobile analytics services like Google Analytics, and Intercom on the MS services. These services use Data Collection Tools to help us analyze the use of the MS services by the user, including information like the third-party website users arrive from, how often the users visit, events within the MS services, usage and performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. MS uses this data to improve the services and in order to understand better about how the services perform on different devices, and provide information that may be of interest to the users.

2.3     Online Advertising

MS uses third-party advertising services like Facebook, Google’s ad services, and other ad networks and ad servers to deliver advertising about MS services on other websites and applications used by the user. The ads may be based on things MS knows about user, like Usage Data and System Data (as detailed in Section 1), and things that these ad service providers know about users based on their tracking data. The ads can be based on the recent user activity or user activity over time and across other sites and services, and may be tailored to interests of user.

Depending on the types of advertising services MS uses, cookies or other tracking technologies may be placed on user computer, phone, or other device to collect data about use of MS services, and may access those tracking technologies in order to serve these tailored advertisements to users. To help deliver tailored advertising, MS may provide these service providers with a hashed, anonymized version of user email address (in a non-human-readable form) and content that users share publicly on the Services.

When using mobile applications a user may also receive tailored in-app advertisements. Apple IOS, Android OS, and Microsoft Windows each provide their own instructions on how to control in-app tailored advertising. For other devices and operating systems, you should review your privacy settings or contact your platform operator.

  1. The way in which MS uses the collected Data:

MS uses the user data to do things like provide various types of MS services, communicate with user, troubleshoot issues, secure against fraud and abuse, improve and update the MS services, analyze how people use MS services, serve personalized advertising, and in various other ways as are required by the law of the land or as necessary for ensuring mutual safety and integrity.

3.1.    Use of data:

MS uses the data collected through the use of the user services to:

Provide and administer the Services, including displaying customized content and facilitating communication with other users;

Process your requests and orders for courses, products, specific services, information, or features;

3.2.    Communication with user:

MS uses this collected data to communicate with user about user account by:

Responding to the questions by user and the concerns of user;

Sending administrative messages and information, including messages from instructors and teaching assistants, notifications about changes to MS service, and updates to MS agreements to the user;

Sending information, such as by email or text messages, about users progress in courses, rewards programs, new services, new features, promotions, newsletters, and other available courses (which user can opt out of at any time);

Sending push notifications to users wireless device to provide updates and other relevant messages (which user can manage from the “options” or “settings” page of the mobile app);

3.3     Manage users account preferences:

MS uses the collected data to manage users account preferences. It does this by doing the following activities:

Facilitate the Services’ technical functioning, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, securing the Services, and preventing fraud and abuse;

Solicit feedback from users;

Market and administer surveys and promotions administered or sponsored by Multiversity of Success;

Learn more about user by linking user data with additional data through third-party data providers or analyzing data with help of analytics service providers;

Identify unique users across devices;

Tailored advertisements across devices;

Improve MS services and develop new products, services, and features;

Analyze trends and traffic, track purchases, and track usage data;

Advertise the Services on third-party websites and applications;

As required or permitted by law; or

As MS in its sole discretion, otherwise determines to be necessary to ensure the safety or integrity of its users, employees, third parties, public, or services.

  1. Sharing of user Data With others:

MS shares certain user data with instructors, other students, companies performing services for MS, Multiversity of Success affiliates, MS business partners, analytics and data enrichment providers, the social media providers of the user, companies helping MS run promotions and surveys, and advertising companies who help MS promote MS services. MS may also share user data as needed for security, legal compliance, or as part of a corporate restructuring. Lastly, MS can share data in other ways if it is aggregated or de-identified or if MS gets the consent of a user.

MS may share user data with third parties under the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

4.1     With user Instructors: 

MS shares data that MS has about user (except user’s email address) with instructors or teaching assistants for courses users enroll in or request information about, so that they can accordingly modify the courses for user and other students.

This data may include things like the city, country, browser language, operating system, and device settings of the user, the site that brought user to Multiversity of Success and user activities on Multiversity of Success. If MS collects additional data about user (like age or gender) MS may share that too. MS does not share user’s email address with instructors or teaching assistants. MS also enables its instructors to implement Google Analytics on their course pages to track sources of traffic to their courses and optimize their course pages.

4.2     With Other Students and Instructors: 

Depending on user’s own settings, the user shared content and profile data may be publicly viewable, including to other students and instructors. If user asks a question to any instructor or to a teaching assistant, the related user information (including user name) may be publicly viewable by depending on user settings.

4.3     With Service Providers, Contractors, and Agents: 

MS shares user data with third-party companies or persons who perform services on behalf of MS, like payment processing, fraud & abuse prevention, data analysis, marketing and advertising services (including retargeted advertising), email and hosting services, customer services and support. These service providers may access the personal data of user and they are required to use it solely as per MS directions as strictly needed to provide the requested service by MS. 

4.4     With Multiversity of Success Affiliates: 

MS may share user data within its corporate family of companies that are related by common ownership or control to enable or support MS in providing various services needed by MS to run its functions smoothly. 

4.5     With Business Partners: 

MS may have agreements with other websites and platforms to distribute the MS services and drive traffic to Multiversity of Success; depending on user location and MS may share user data with such business partners.

4.6     With Analytics and Data Enrichment Services: 

As part of the use of third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics and data enrichment services by MS, MS may share certain contact information, Account Data, System Data, Usage Data (as detailed in Section 1), or de-identified data as needed. De-identified data means data where we’ve removed things like user name and email address and replaced it with a token ID. This allows these providers to provide analytics services or match user data with publicly-available database information (including contact and social information from other sources). MS services do this to communicate with user in more effective & customized manner.

4.7     To Power Social Media Features:

The social media features in the MS services (e.g. Like & share button) may allow the third-party social media provider to collect things like users IP address and which page of the services user visits, and to set a cookie to enable the concerned feature work more effectively for that user. All the interactions of the user with these features are governed by the third-party company’s privacy policy.

4.8     To Administer Promotions and Surveys: 

MS may share the user data as necessary to administer, market, or sponsor promotions and user-chosen surveys to participate in, as required by applicable law or in accordance with the rules of the promotion or survey.

4.9     For Advertising:

If MS decides to offer advertising in the future, MS may use and share certain System Data and Usage Data with third-party advertisers and networks to show general demographic and preference information among users of MS. MS may also allow advertisers to collect System Data through Data Collection Tools (as detailed in Section 2.1), and to use this data to offer a targeted ad delivery to personalize the user experience of users (through behavioral advertising) and undertake web analytics. Advertisers may also share the data they collect about user with MS; see Section 6.1 (Choices About the Use of Your Data). The users have a choice to opt out from participating ad networks’ behavioral advertising. If a user opts out of this, the user may continue to be just served with generic ads.

4.10   For Security and Legal Compliance: 

MS authorities may disclose your data to third parties if MS authorities (in their sole discretion) have a good faith and reason to believe that the disclosure is:

  1. Permitted or required by law;
  2. Requested as part of a judicial, governmental, or legal inquiry,
  3. Requested as part of a judicial order, or proceeding;
  4. Reasonably necessary as part of formal written order issued by a court that requires a person to appear in court and testify, or produce documents, a valid legal, warrant, or other legally-valid request;
  5. Reasonably necessary to enforce MS Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other legal agreements;
  6. Required to detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, misuse, potential violations of law (or rule or regulation), or security or technical issues; or
  7. Reasonably necessary in the sole discretion of MS to protect MS against imminent harm to the rights, property, or safety of Multiversity of Success, its users, employees, members of the public, or the MS services.

MS may also disclose data about users to the MS auditors and legal advisors in order to assess the disclosure of MS obligations and rights towards the users, trainers and other employees, under this Privacy Policy.

4.11   During a Change in Control: 

If and when Multiversity of Success undergoes any business transaction like change of its present business type and adding of additional key owners into business, or a merger, acquisition, corporate divestiture, or dissolution (including bankruptcy), or a sale of all or some of its assets, MS may share, disclose, or transfer all of the user data to the successor organization during such transition or in contemplation of a transition (including during due diligence), after which, the successor organization may even choose to further revise this policy and seek a revised acceptance of the same from all present users.

4.12   After Aggregation/De-identification: 

MS can disclose or use aggregate or de-identified data for any legally acceptable purpose that the MS users think appropriate.

4.13   With the user’s Permission: 

All this use of user data by MS will strictly happen only after such a written consent is given by the users. MS may, after the specified types of written consent by users, and then if the MS authorities find it appropriate, MS may even share this data to third parties outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.

  1. Security

MS will use appropriate security based on the type and sensitivity of data being stored. As with any internet-enabled system, there is always a risk of unauthorized access, so it is important for every user to protect the user password and to contact MS if user suspects any unauthorized access to his/her account.

Multiversity of Success takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of the personal data that MS collects and stores. These measures vary based on the type and sensitivity of the data. Unfortunately, however, no system can be 100% secured, so MS cannot guarantee that communications between user and Multiversity of Success, the Services, or any information provided to MS in connection with the data MS collects through the Services will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. The user password is an important part of MS security system, and it is the responsibility of every user to protect it. Users should not share their password with any third party, and if user believes that the password or user account has been compromised, user must change it immediately and contact the MS Support Team with any related concerns.

  1. Privacy Rights of a User:

Users have certain rights towards the use of data they use or provide, including the ability to opt out of promotional emails, cookies, and collection of their data by certain analytics providers. They can update or terminate their account from within MS services, and can also contact MS for individual rights requests about their personal data. If any Parents believe that MS has unintentionally collected some personal data about their underage child, can always contact MS for help and for deleting that information from MS records.

6.1 User Choices about the Use of user Data:

User can choose not to provide certain data to MS, but i mn such case, the user may not be able to use certain features of the Services.

User can choose to stop receiving promotional communications from MS. User can choose to opt out of these promotions by using the unsubscribe mechanism in the promotional communication they receive or by changing the email preferences in the user account. Users must note that regardless of their email preference settings MS will continue to send the transactional and relationship messages regarding the MS services, including administrative confirmations, registration and/or order confirmations, important updates about the Services, and notices about the MS policies.

The cookies and other types of local data storage in the user device is controlled by the browser or device used by the user. The wireless device also allows the user to control whether location or other data is collected and shared. The users can manage Adobe’s LSOs through their Website Storage Settings panel.

To get information to control cookies used for tailored advertising from participating companies, users must see “consumer opt-out pages” for the network advertising initiative and digital advertising alliance, or visit online Choices in site. To opt out of Google’s display advertising or user must customize Google Display Network ads by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. To opt out of the targeted ads, users must see the Opt-out Link in their Cookie Policy.

To opt out of allowing Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, ZoomInfo, or Clearbit to use user data for analytics or enrichment, users must see the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, Hotjar Opt-Out Cookie, Mixpanel Opt-Out Cookie, ZoomInfo’s policy, and Clearbit data claiming mechanism.

6.2 Accessing, Updating, and Deleting User’s Personal Data:

User can access and update the personal data that Multiversity of Success collects and maintains as follows:

(a) To update data user provides directly,

(b) To log into user account to update or terminate user account at any time if the situation needs that type of action:

(i) If user is a student, and violates the student rules and regulations;

(ii) If user is an trainer, violates the trainer rules and regulations;

(iii) If user has any issues in accession or terminating user account,

(iv) If user contacts the MS support team for help

Also; even after user account is terminated, some or all of user data may still be visible to others, including without limitation any data that has been;

(a) Copied, stored, or disseminated by other users (including in course comment);

(b) Shared or disseminated by user or others (including in user shared content); or

(c) Posted to a third-party platform.

Even after user account is terminated, MS retains user data for as long as MS authorities have a legitimate purpose to do so (and in accordance with applicable law), including assisting with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing the MS agreements. MS may retain and disclose such data pursuant to this Privacy Policy after user account has been terminated in any necessary situations.

The users can request to access, correct, or delete their personal data, by writing to privacy@multiversityofsuccess.in through the email address associated with user account, it will be done with due verification of the user identity before implementing user request. MS will still retain certain data where MS has lawful right, including for mandatory record-keeping and to complete transactions.

6.3     MS Policy Concerning Children:

Multiversity of Success recognizes the privacy interests of children and encourages parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Children under the age of 18 should not use the MS services directly, but use them through their parents.

If MS learn that MS has collected personal data from a child under 18, MS will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents who believe that Multiversity of Success may have collected personal data from a child under those ages can submit a request that it be removed to privacy@multiversityofsuccess.in

  1. Jurisdiction-Specific Rules

The rules regarding online privacy that are applicable in India are applicable for all, and in addition, if there are any additional restrictions in the specific region where the user is residing, the user may be needed to follow even those rules as per their law of land, where Multiversity of Success will not be concerned with any such rules as long as they are not a part of Indian privacy policy laws.

  1. Updates & Contact Info

When MS make a material change to this policy, MS will notify users via email, in-product notice, or another mechanism required by law. Changes become effective the day they are posted. The users are expected to contact MS via email or postal mail with any questions, concerns, or disputes.

8.1 Modifications to This Privacy Policy

MS may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If MS makes any material change to it, MS will notify the users via email, through a notification posted on the Services, or as required by applicable law. MS will also include a summary of the key changes. Unless stated otherwise, modifications will become effective on the day they are posted.

As permitted by applicable law, if a user continues to use the services after the effective date of any change, then the user access and/or use will be deemed to be an acceptance of (and agreement to follow and be bound by) the revised Privacy Policy. The revised Privacy Policy supersedes all previous Privacy Policies.

8.2 Interpretation:

Any capitalized terms not defined in this policy are defined as specified in Multiversity of Success’s Terms of Use. In due course, a translated version of this Privacy Policy in some Indian as well as other languages will be provided for convenience.
